As some of you may know, I’ve been working to bring a long-held vision to life through a local nonprofit inspired by my daughter, Maia, who is visually impaired and neurodivergent.
I dreamed of a future where she, and others like her, feel safe, included, valued, and able to thrive. Gathering Beans is our way of building that future.
Our mission is to create meaningful employment opportunities for people of all abilities, helping them build confidence, develop professional skills, and find their place in the workforce and community.
We bring this mission to life through Gathering Beans Café, a warm and welcoming gathering space where parents, caregivers, families, and neighbors can connect.
You may see some familiar faces at Gathering Beans, including Amy, Tammy, Stephanie, and Beth. We’re excited to build this space together with our community.
